The National Register of Judicial Experts (LRGD) is an independent private initiative which aimes to enhance the quality of expert evidence bij managing a public register of experts who are capable of carrying out investigations and reporting on the results within the context of criminal, civil and administrative law proceedings.

The LRGD includes experts with a recognized expertise guaranteed by a membership of a representative professional organization. The expert has to have completed a legal educational programme aiming at acting in legal procedures to be included on the LRGD. The LRGD demands high standards on the approved courses for experts in legal process.

The Admission Committee decides on applications and advices the General Board. An appeal can be made against their decision to the Supervisory Board. 

Experts registered with the LRGD meet permanent education requirement and are (also) subject to the LRGD disciplinary regulations.
